Ida

Ida is a 2 ½ year old child from a village about 8 hours’ drive away from Nakuru. Her mother brought her to Nakuru to see Kenya health. Ida had the largest umbilical hernia we had ever seen. We organised for Ida to see a surgeon who admitted her to hospital for a blood transfusion as she was very anaemic. After the transfusion she had successful surgery to repair her hernia.
